19.01.2010 | The TNM system is the most widely used means for classifying the extent of cancer in the body.

Professor Pierre Denoix from the Institute Gustave-Roussy began development of the TNM system of classification in conjunction with the International Union Against Cancer as early as 1943. The pocket book, Livre de Poche, was first published in 1968, and is currently in its 6th edition.
UICC is pleased to announce the pending publication of the new 7th Edition of TNM Classification of Malignant Tumours, which provides the latest, internationally agreed-upon standards to describe and categorize cancer stages and progression.

UICC has negotiated a 25% discount for all UICC members. To ensure you benefit from this discount, please complete the pre-order form available at and send to before 30 November.
