The Latin American & Caribbean Society of Medical Oncology is a non-profit organization, created to improve the prevention and treatment of cancer in the region. The Society knows of the huge need for developing coherent standards in cancer education, investigation, cancer treatment and to disseminate the information.
The SLACOM Headquarters in Buenos Aires, Argentina, handle daily operations of the Society and provide a variety of services to its members and the public.

Services to Members
SLACOM offers Customer Service of the greatest quality and information to members and non-members.
Services to Members, is responsible of processing applications of new members, membership fees, investigation and fulfilment of requests from same, maintenance of the Members Directory of SLACOM and provision of telephone support.

Events
The Events Services of SLACOM deals with the logistic aspects of all the SLACOM meetings, including accommodation, registration, transportation and exhibits.

Medical Affairs
The Medical Affairs Department offers the coordination of SLACOM activities to promote clinical investigation and high quality traslational in oncology, with focusing in clinical trials. The department, also develops educational tools and administrative resources to facilitate the participation of academic professionals and the oncology community in clinical and traslational investigation.
